PCI Announces Full Upgrade of Bleach Production Line Materials to Better Support Sodium Hypochlorite Products

ST. LOUIS, Mo., April 30, 2026 — PCI, a liquid contract manufacturer specializing in blending, filling, and packaging, today announced that it has fully upgraded the materials of construction across its bleach production and packaging infrastructure to better support sodium hypochlorite-based products. The upgrade is designed to strengthen PCI’s ability to manufacture bleach products for household, industrial and institutional (HI&I) brands with greater confidence in compatibility, durability, safety, and finished product integrity.

Bleach products create unique manufacturing demands because sodium hypochlorite is a highly reactive material that can be harsh on incompatible production equipment. To address those demands, PCI upgraded the types of specialty materials used throughout its bleach line, including key product-contact and transfer components such as tanks, piping, connectors, pumps, seals, and related system elements. This upgrade helps reduce the risk of corrosion, material degradation, contamination, and performance loss that can occur when bleach is processed on equipment not designed for its rigors.

By fully upgrading the materials used throughout the production line, PCI has reinforced its ability to protect bleach product stability and performance from blending through filling and packaging. The investment also supports more dependable long-term operation when handling sodium hypochlorite formulations, which require disciplined compatibility across the full manufacturing process. PCI’s bleach capability aligns with its broader focus on safe, controlled production of specialty and hazardous liquid products.

PCI supports bleach-based products used in HI&I applications, including surface cleaners, disinfectants, restroom products, laundry additives and whiteners, mold and mildew removers, and other specialty cleaning formulations.  For products with microbial kill claims, PCI also operates with documented quality systems, batch tracking, and SOP-driven processes structured to support regulated production environments.

PCI also offers turnkey manufacturing support, helping customers coordinate formulation support, blending, liquid filling, packaging, and broader production planning through a single manufacturing partner.

“Bleach products demand the right line design and the right materials throughout the system,” said Will Davis, CEO of PCI. “This full upgrade reflects our commitment to giving customers a better manufacturing environment for sodium hypochlorite products—one built to withstand the rigors of bleach while helping protect product quality, consistency, and performance.”
